Brandon Matulka has been named Executive Director of Lake County’s Agency for Economic Prosperity, which oversees the Offices of Elevate Lake, Visit Lake and the Fairgrounds and Events Center. Matulka joined Lake County in 2015, most recently serving as the Manager of Business Development for the agency.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has announced it will be opening a mobile Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) for residents and business owners affected by Hurricane Irma. The DRC will be open beginning Thursday, Oct. 19 at 1 p.m. at the Lake County Extension Office, located at 1951 Woodlea Road, Tavares.
