Lake County Commissioners help cut the ribbon on QuietFlex expansion

GROVELAND – The Lake County Board of County Commissioners, in conjunction with the Lake County Economic Development & Tourism Department, cut the ribbon today on a $1.5 million dollar expansion of QuietFlex, a HVAC duct-manufacturing company in South Lake County.

“As many of you know, Lake County’s economic backbone is the manufacturing industry,” said Lake County Commission Chairman Jimmy Conner. “Because we recognize the importance of this segment of the workforce, Lake County works diligently to foster and support our manufacturing businesses, such as QuietFlex.”

The Texas-based company recently expanded its Lake County facility, located at 7730 American Way, Groveland, from 65,000 to 120,000-square-feet, adding six major pieces of equipment and hiring 25 additional employees. 

“We have a good history here and a good success story,” said Michael Paschal, Vice President of Operations. “As we come out of the home industry dip of 2006-2007, this business has experienced double digit growth year-over-year since then. I think that’s a testament to the quality of the product and the value-add that we supply to the users of our product.”

In fact, Chairman Conner lauded the company’s nearly 100 facility employees for their work.

“I am told the care these particular employees take in their production and packaging has companies specially requesting the products be shipped from this particular facility,” Chairman Conner said. “This type of quality work is something to truly be proud of.”
