Lake County’s Business Opportunity Centers offer free classes to local business owners

TAVARES – Lake County’s Business Opportunity Centers (BOCs), hosted by experts with the Florida Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at UCF in Lake County, offer full-service business support to all businesses in Lake County, regardless of size, industry or business cycle.

“The BOCs have something for everyone, from start-up company entrepreneurs to established business owners hoping to learn new skills to give them a competitive edge,” said Erika Greene, Lake County Economic Development & Tourism Coordinator.

In February, the BOCs are hosting courses including Business Plan Writing Made Easy, Finance for Business and Social Media for Business Success.

The North Lake classes are held at the Lake Sumter State College - North Lake Campus, Building M Executive Conference Room, 9909 US Highway 441, Leesburg,s and the South Lake classes are held at the Lake Sumter State College - South Lake Campus, Building 2, Room 101, 1250 North Hancock Road, Clermont.

All classes are free to Lake County businesses and $30 for businesses operating outside of Lake
