Businesses invited to ‘Tourism Forum’ in Clermont

Release Date: January 12, 2015

CLERMONT – The Lake County Economic Development & Tourism Department is inviting tourism-related business to attend an upcoming event, “Lake County Tourism Forum: A Tourism Business Meet and Greet” from 2-6 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 4 at The Clermont City Center, 620 W. Montrose St., Clermont.

This premier business-to-business event will encourage networking between tourism business leaders, government agencies, chambers of commerce, hoteliers, event planners, dining establishments, attractions and those who support local tourism initiatives.

The forum will feature a presentation by Robert Chandler, director of the Lake County Economic Development & Tourism Department, at 2 p.m., followed at 2:30 p.m. by a presentation from John Bisignano, President and CEO of the Central Florida Sports Commission.

Businesses are encouraged to take advantage of networking opportunities during the Business Partner Meet and Greet between 3 and 6 p.m., which will be held in a round-robin format. An exhibitor area will be provided, free of charge. The deadline to register is Friday, Jan. 23.

“The forum will provide an excellent opportunity for our local tourism businesses to discover the expansive network of diverse tourism offerings and support services that are available within Lake County,” said Chandler. “This will be one of the only chances they will have to network with their peers in one place at the same time. Plus, our new round-robin format will allow exhibitors to spend quality time interacting with other businesses without fear of missing visitors to their own booth.”
