Release Date: June 09, 2014

CLERMONT – The city of Clermont unveiled its new $6.3-million Clermont Arts & Recreation Center on Friday, June 6. The ribbon cutting ceremony was the public’s first opportunity to tour the 69,000-square-foot hilltop facility located at 3700 S. U.S. Highway 27 in Clermont.

The center features the county’s largest auditorium, a theater, swimming pools, gymnasium, commercial kitchen and a variety of meeting spaces.

“We are excited to add the Clermont Arts & Recreation Center to the growing list of top-notch meeting and entertainment venues in South Lake County,” said Robert Chandler, director of Lake County’s Economic Development & Tourism Department. “This is a regionally significant center that will greatly enhance our ability to drive additional tourism visitation to Lake County.”
