Learn to market a business to government agencies at upcoming SBDC seminar

TAVARES – The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at UCF-Lake County is offering an upcoming seminar to help businesses learn how to sell their products and services to all levels of government. The “Marketing to Government Agencies” seminar will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 29 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the South Lake Business Opportunity Center, 20763 U.S. Highway 27, Groveland.

The information covered will include whether or not government agencies are a viable market for particular businesses, what the marketing objectives should be, how to develop a marketing strategy and how to identify government agencies to target.

Derek Hudson, a procurement specialist for the Procurement Technical Assistance Center, which serves Lake, Sumter, Volusia and Flagler counties, will present the information.

Additional “Marketing to Government Agencies” seminars are scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 19 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the North Lake Business Opportunity Center, 1520 S. Bay St., Eustis; and Tuesday, Dec. 10 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Leesburg Community Center, 9909 U.S. Highway 441, Leesburg.
