SBDC to offer ‘Start up Basics’ seminar for entrepreneurs

LEESBURG – The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at UCF-Lake County, funded by Lake County and residing in Lake County’s Business Opportunity Centers, will offer an opportunity for entrepreneurs to learn how to start a business at a free seminar entitled, “Start-Up Basics.” The free seminar is being offered on Thursday, Oct. 24 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Lake-Sumter State College’s North Lake Campus, 9909 U.S. Highway 441, Leesburg.
Stan Austin, Area Manager and Certified Business Analyst, will help entrepreneurs understand what it takes to start a business; discuss business plans and the importance of preparing one; and explores the legal entities – sole proprietorship, partnership, corporation and Limited Liability Corporation. The seminar will also help determine the local, state or federal licensing requirements needed to operate.
