County wins 7 FFEA awards for 2nd Annual Wings & Wildflowers Festival promotional materials

TAVARES — The Florida Festivals and Events Association (FFEA) presented the Lake County Economic Development & Tourism Department with seven SUNsational awards for promotional materials for the 2nd Annual Wings & Wildflowers Festival during the association’s 19th Annual Convention and Trade Show on Aug. 1 in Bonita Springs.

More than 250 representatives of events, event suppliers and associations entered their programs in a variety of categories to be considered for nomination. The awards won by Lake County by category are as follows: 

1st, Magazine Display Ad
1st, Promotional Item
1st, Social Media (Facebook)
1st, Website
2nd, Miscellaneous Printed Materials, $24,000 and under
2nd, Poster, $24,999 and under
3rd, Social Media (Twitter)

“We’re excited and honored to have been awarded for the materials that our talented team of in-house creative staff produced,” said Robert Chandler, director of Lake County’s Economic Development & Tourism Department. “Being recognized by such a prestigious organization brings awareness about the festival, its sponsors and Lake County.”

Nominees were chosen by a blue-ribbon panel of judges representing radio, print media, television, magazines, printing companies, website designers, photographers, promotional marketing professionals and experts in the field of social media. FFEA is a nonprofit association dedicated to supporting and promoting more than 750 festivals, events and fairs in Florida.
