Topics of second business summit are capital, marketing, planning & workforce development

MOUNT DORA — Regional business resource providers are hosting a Day 2 event to its Lake County Business Owners Success Summit (BOSS) to provide more information about the services they provide on Thursday, Sept. 9, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Lake Receptions, located at 4425 Highway 19A in Mount Dora.

More than 130 Lake County business owners, business representatives and aspiring entrepreneurs participated in the Day 1 event held in March. The majority of participants reported that they were interested in learning more about the services available from the regional resource providers in four categories: access to capital, marketing & sales, strategic business planning and professional & workforce development. The theme of Day 2 is to provide more information about these business topics through a series of seminars and workshops including:

  • Private money, such as angel investors and venture capital
  • Other grants, loans and incentives
