Lake County Economic Development congratulates local companies selected as ‘best to work for’

TAVARES — The Lake County Economic Growth & Redevelopment Division is applauding three local companies — Restor Telecom of Leesburg, Reunion Bank of Florida in Tavares and First Green Bank in Eustis — that were recently selected by Florida Trend magazine as “Florida’s Best Companies to Work for 2010.”

“What’s exciting about this news is all three companies selected are high-growth companies,” said Dottie Keedy, Director of the Lake County Department of Economic Development & Community Services, “that have been recognized as best companies to work for, two of which, Restor Telecom and First Green Bank, are past recipients of Lake County Business Incentives.”

For the second year, Florida Trend compiled a list of Florida’s top 100 companies to work for based on company surveys and employee questionnaires. The magazine partnered with the Best Companies Group to assess company policies, practices and demographics, as well as leadership, planning, training and overall engagement. The results were divided into three separate classes: large, midsized and small companies.

Reunion Bank of Florida was named the No. 1 Best Small Company in the category of 15 to 49 employees. The bank serves customers from branches in Tavares and Port Orange, and according to its mission statement “is dedicated to creating a unique and memorable banking environment by providing sound financial advice with the highest quality of customer service.”

Restor Telecom was selected 15th in the Best Midsized Company category of 50 to 249 employees. Since 1982, the company has provided its triple-checked quality suite of electronics depot repair services to Telecom and Information Technology industries specializing in the repair of voice, data, video, broadband, central office switching, transport, power/ring, wireless and wire-line equipment.

First Green Bank of Eustis was selected as the 25th Best Small Company. The bank operates branches in Eustis and Clermont and is the first bank of its kind to promote positive environmental and social responsibility while operating as a traditional community bank while providing excellent service to investors and clients.
