TAVARES — The Lake County Board of County Commissioners at its regularly scheduled meeting Oct. 20 approved a High Value Job Creation (HVJC) Program Award for $20,000 to First Green Bank for the creation of nine qualifying positions.
“First Green Bank’s expansion is a welcome addition to Lake County and we’re pleased to award these funds to a company of their caliber,” said Dottie Keedy, Director of the Lake County Department of Economic Growth & Redevelopment.
First Green Bank is a commercial bank that focuses on promoting positive environmental and social responsibility while operating as a traditional bank. “First Green Bank has purchased the site and is investing $2 million in new construction and $325,000 in new equipment,” Keedy said. “They anticipate completion of the project in November 2010.”
